To sustain the economic development on a more efficient and cleaner energy system, realize the sustainable development of the economic society and enhance its economic competitiveness, the Germany government pays special attention to energy-saving and exhaust-reduction and has raised an objective for exhaust-reduction higher than the requirements in Kyodo Agreement as well as from EU, in which, in 2020, the energy utilization rate will be improved by 20% ,CO2 exhaust reduced by 30% from that in 2006, and the proportion of the renewable energy in the total energy consumption reaches up to 25%. To achieve this object, Germany government has taken a series of methods and measures, including strengthening policy guidance, increasing support and focusing on technical innovation and energy-saving promotion. Germany government believes that, without wide participation of the public, the objectives for energy-saving and exhaust reduction cannot be achieved. Therefore, it is very important to improve the public¡¯s sense of energy-saving. They pay special attention to improving the public¡¯s sense of energy-saving through various promotion measures. For example, Senior government offices non-periodically hold seminars with the public, to discuss related policies, listen to their opinions and encourage them to supervise the efforts by the government and enterprises in the area of energy-saving and environment-protection. The Germany Energy Agency for organization of national energy-saving effort not only established a free call service center to answer people¡¯s questions in terms of energy saving, but opened a special website about knowledge on energy-saving to better explain various professional knowledge on energy saving and prepared promotion board for energy-saving promotion all over the country, in which famous politicians actively participates. Each year, a national contest about energy-saving knowledge and skill is held to award the winner, not only improving the public¡¯s sense of energy saving, but promoting the knowledge on energy saving. |
